Q: Is A1 BOUNCY CASTLE members of any recognised organisation?
A: Yes, we are members of the BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Association), local Chamber of Commerce and
Federation of Small Business.

Q: Which areas do you deliver to?
A: We can offer Bouncy Castles & Slides with free delivery, set-up and collection in the Buckinghamshire
(Bucks), Oxfordshire (Oxon), Hertfordshire (Herts), Berkshire (Berks), Bedfordshire (Beds), Middlesex
and London area.

Q: Are bouncy castles safe?
A: Yes, our bouncy castles are made to all British Standards and are safety tested. We also provide safety
mats for entrances and exits to the castles. Children must be supervised at all times on a bouncy castle.

Q: Do you supply bouncy castles suitable for adults?
A: Yes, our adult castles are only units that adult and children over the age of 14 years can use. They are
specially reinforced and are suitable for children, teenagers and adults.

Q: How much does the unit cost to run?
A: An average unit costs approximately between 50p to £1 for a days use.

Q: Do you provide instructions?
A: Our Terms and Conditions act as instructions for safe use of the inflatable.

Q: Can you supervise the inflatable?
A: Yes, we can provide supervision of our bouncy castle or inflatable. We charge per hour per person for
supervision.

Q: How do we book?
A: You can book by calling us on either 01844 274300 or 0800 107 8742.
Alternatively, email us at info@A1bouncycastle.co.uk and we will call you back.

Q: When do you deliver?
A: We deliver from 7:00am and during busy summer periods, we deliver on a geographical round basis.
However, we try to be as flexible as possible so please ask at the time of booking if you need a specific time
slot. We do of course give precise times if the hire is indoors, such as in community centres or villages halls,
or if the hire is for a school fete or fund-raising event.

Q: What preparation is needed before you arrive?
A: Please make sure that any hallways, side passages, or any other access to your garden/venue are clear of
obstacles etc. We require a minimum 3 foot width access depending on the size of the unit hired. Ensure that
the bouncer site is free of any sharp objects, excessive mud and dog mess. We will need access to an electricity
power point within 25m or we can hire you a petrol generator for an additional £30 charge. If the deliverer is caused
to wait while you prepare the site, you will be charged a waiting time of £20 per hour or part thereof. If the site is
unsuitable we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

Q: What happens if it rains on the hire day?
A: All of our castles are available with shower covers, but these are not sufficient for heavier rain. Therefore the
bouncy castle is not to be used if it gets too wet, as it becomes very dangerous. If it is likely to be very wet on
the day of hire you can cancel anytime up to 1 hour before delivery without charge. If your castle is in the process
of being delivered, you can still cancel but a 50% charge will be payable.

Q: How much room do you need to erect a bouncy castle?
A: You need to add approximately 7ft to the quoted size of the castle to allow for the air blower at the back
and crash mats at the front. You also need to allow about 3ft to the width of the castle to allow for movement
around the sidewalls (7ft for a slide combination for the additional crash mat at the bottom of the slide). Any
overhanging trees and prickly bushes need to be pruned back.

Q: Are your castles clean?
A: Yes, we maintain our castles to a very high standard, they are cleaned and inspected after every hire.

Q: When can I book a castle?
A: Our bouncy castles are available for hire anytime. We can get very busy, particularly in the summer, so it
is always best to book early in order to avoid disappointment. We will send you a confirmation of your booking by
email or post, and phone you a day or so in advance to discuss your exact delivery requirements.

Q: How safe are the Bouncy Castles?
A: All of our bouncy castles and slides are regularly inspected and tested, which means that they fully comply
to the latest HSE guidelines for Inflatable Play Equipment. All of our electrical equipment is also regularly
inspected and tested.

Q: Can I keep bouncy castles over night?
A: Most of our castles can be kept over night for an additional 30% charge. This only applies to secure gardens,
and you must accept full responsibility for the bouncy castle and equipment and also put the electric equipment
into a dry location overnight (such as shed or garden).

Q: How long can I keep the bouncy castle/slide?
A: We normally deliver in the morning and collect in the evening but we try to be as flexible as possible so please
ask at the time of booking. If you hire an inflatable for only a few hours, such as for an indoor event or an inflatable
for only a few hours, such as for an indoor event or an after-school activity, the price will be the same because the
same amount of work is involved for us. Our normal collection times are between 6:00pm – 8:00pm but this can vary
depending on the time of year. Castles must be well lit if used in the dark for safety reasons.

Q: What sort of surface do you need for the castle?
A: Castles situated outdoors need to be a reasonable flat grassy area (slight slopes are OK) so that they can be
staked down. The area needs to be completely free of any sharp stones, objects, excessive mud or dog mess.
If the delivery staff has to wait while you prepare the sight, or if the sight is unsuitable, we reserve the right to
cancel the booking.

Q: Can your castles, slides and ball pools go indoors?
A: Yes, our inflatable can go indoors. However, you must check that the height of the inflatable that you want
to hire is below the venue’s ceiling height. A1 Bouncy Castle will assess your venue free of charge on request
with no obligation.

Q: Can I collect the castle?
A: Sorry, but for insurance and safety purposes, we must deliver and install the bouncer.

Q: I’ve had a quote from another company for less than you charge, will you match it?
A: No, we’ll beat it. Let us know if you find another company hiring the same units as us for cheaper and we will
beat their quote by £10.

Q: I am not sure my garden is big enough for a bouncy castle.
A: We offer a service which involves us coming to your home and checking whether your garden is large enough
to cater for a bouncy castle, this is free of charge and there is no obligation. Generally a bouncy castle needs
6ft clear at the rear and 4 ft around the sides. The 12ft x 12ft castles that we have are the most popular size as
they fit in most gardens. We also will need a passage of at least 3ft wide to get the castle into the garden/venue.

Q: What are Sumo Suits?
A: Sumo Suits are large bulky suits that 2 people wear and try to push each other off of a sumo mat or onto the floor.
They are hilarious fun! Our sumo suits are superhero suits made by Super Sumo whose products have become the
industry standard for safety and design, making them a regular choice for TV and corporate events.
